What Can I Donate?
Cars, vans, trucks, SUV’s, motorcycles and aircraft. We also accept donations of property. Please call 888.339.3193 for more information.
Teen Challenge is a 501(c)(3) organization so all donations are tax-deductible and receipts will be sent for your tax records. Congress has passed new laws about these tax-deductions. Please see IRS Publication 4303, “A Donor’s Guide to Car Donations”
How much of the value goes to Teen Challenge? Every penny! There are no “middlemen” so 100% of your vehicle’s value goes to Teen Challenge and our six residential recovery centers throughout the California, Nevada, and the Philippines.
What to Do?
What do you need to do to donate your vehicle? We’d like the title to the vehicle. But, if you do not have title papers, email or call us anyway; other arrangements can be made in most instances.
Running or Not?
My car has not run in years. Can I still donate it? Yes, we’ll even tow your vehicle – running or not!! In most cases, if the vehicle does not operate, we will make all the arrangements to have it picked up at no cost to you. However, the condition of your vehicle will affect the fair market value of your donation.
How is Value Determined?
We can refer you to IRS Publication which sets forth the manner in which the IRS requires you to determine the value of your donated property. You can review this publication on the IRS website right now. If your donation is worth more than $5,000 you will need an appraisal for tax purposes.
Delivery of Vehicle
At the scheduled time, we will arrange the proper vehicle to tow your car, boat, truck, RV or travel trailer.
How Long Will it Take?
How long will it take to pick up my car? As soon as you contact us, we can normally pick up your car within a few days. If you need your car picked up sooner, we can make those arrangements.
