Student Testimonies

My name is Cammi Boyd. I am 22 years old and I am from Birmingham, Alabama. I grew up in a good home with a loving family. At the age of 12 I started taking pills. Soon the pills led to meth and I eventually quit school. I got kicked out of my house and was living from hotel to hotel not knowing where I was going to eat or sleep next. I have overdosed 3 times on Liquid G, and every time I would get out of the hospital I would go straight to the drug dealer. I have been in and out of jail more times than i can count. The last time I went to jail, the judge told me I could go to prison for 3 years or complete a year of Teen Challenge.

Through this program I met Jesus. God has restored my family and changed me from the inside out. I have found myself in Him! I have completed the full year as a student and today all of my charges are completely dismissed! I plan on staying in Eureka, getting a job and helping out at the Teen Challenge center. I also want to do children's ministry.

Hi, my name is Bradford and I'm 39 years old. I grew up in a Christian household without a Christian heart. I was schooling in the church but didn't have an understanding of what it truly meant to be a Christian. or to have a relationship with Jesus Christ. I started drinking and parting at 13 and for many years survived as a functioning alcoholic. After years of closet drinking I exploded into a full-fledge alcoholic living on the streets. The struggles of homelessness, depression, anger, and hopelessness brought me closer & closer to absolute destruction. A change needed to take place. At Teen Challenge I came face to face with my alcoholism and sin. I now have a new outlook on life and have experianced repentance and healing. Furthermore, I have an acceptance to the will of God in my life and have relinquished the reins of my life to Christ and all the follows.
