Our Teen Challenge Thrift Stores have been serving the Bay Area since 2002. Our goal is to provide the most reasonably priced, gently-used items to our community, while teaching the students in our program healthy work habits, ethics, and integrity. Teen Challenge is in the business of transforming lives. When we are able to pull a mother and her child out of the gutter and put them on the road to recovery - we know that we have done our job. The Teen Challenge Thrift Stores play a key role in the recovery process, as students gain practical employment skills by assisting the store manager with merchandise sorting, pricing, cleaning, and retail counter sales. Those who complete the program will use these skills to become viable contributors to our society.
When you visit our Thrift Stores you will not only benefit from exceptional discounts, you will gain an appreciation of the work that Teen Challenge does through the personal stories of the students who work there. The miracles that have taken place in the lives of these students and their families are simply remarkable. We currently have 2 Thrift Stores in the Bay Area (San Jose and Concord) and our Concord store just recently received an award for "The Best Thrift Store" in the Best of Claycord publication.
