Ruth’s Haven, a program of Teen Challenge NorWestCal Nevada, provides a secure, welcoming, and respectful environment for girls aged 12–17. Here, girls can step away from the pressures of life-controlling problems to focus on deep healing and restoration. We ensure that education is continued through our accredited program, allowing students to stay on track while they find their path forward.

Ruth’s Haven: A Safe Place for Girls to Heal

Ruth’s Haven Teen Girl’s Center provides a specialized sanctuary for girls ages 12–17 facing severe life-controlling struggles, including exploitation, sex trafficking, addiction, and trauma.

We believe that deep, lasting change takes time. Unlike short-term facilities, our long-term residential program allows girls the necessary time to fully heal, grow, and rebuild their lives in a stable environment. A cornerstone of this journey is our unique animal therapy program, where girls develop trust, empathy, and emotional resilience through meaningful connections with animals.

    The Teen Challenge program includes mentoring, education, life skills, and guidance. It is a well-balanced approach. Also, the length of the program is another reason recovery is successful since it allows the time needed to heal and learn to live a new life. The program typically is 12-18 months. Our well-rounded method along with the length of the program makes Teen Challenge one of the largest and most successful recovery programs of its kind.
